Why becoming a published author is more than a personal milestone, it's an invitation to embrace the gifts of midlife.

This week, I’m celebrating a milestone that I will always cherish; I officially became a published author.
Becoming a published author has been a lifelong dream, but this journey was about so much more than seeing my name in print.
It was about sharing my story with women navigating midlife—a story of pain, grief, resilience, and ultimately, hope.
For so long, we've been hearing on what we lose as we age. We hear about slowing metabolisms, hormonal shifts, unexpected weight gain, restless nights, and constant fatigue. Midlife is often portrayed as a season of decline.
But I believe there's another story waiting to be told. One that recognizes not only the challenges of midlife but also the incredible opportunities it brings. As I wrote in my chapter, “Most of us have been told what we lose with age. No one talks about what we gain, and it's actually a pretty solid trade.”
What if midlife isn't an ending? What if it's the beginning of something stronger, wiser, and more intentional?
I'm honoured to be a contributing author to The Midlife Advantage: Strategies for a Stronger Body, Clearer Mind, and Unstoppable Vitality, a collaborative book led by my mentor, renowned celebrity nutritionist and bestselling author Keri Glassman, MS, RDN, CDN, alongside an incredible group of health, wellness, and medical practitioners.
Together, we've created a resource designed to help women navigate this stage of life with confidence, knowledge, and vitality.
Within its pages, you'll discover science-based strategies to support metabolism, balance hormones, preserve lean muscle, and create sustainable daily habits that nurture both body and mind.
More importantly, you'll find encouragement to embrace this season as an opportunity for growth rather than something to fear.
One lesson that has become especially meaningful to me is the importance of caring for our minds as intentionally as we care for our bodies. The mind doesn't go quiet simply because we've asked it to. It requires gentle, consistent practice. Simple daily rituals, such as mindful breathing, can help cultivate calm, increase self-awareness, and create space for greater clarity amidst life's demands.
As I celebrate this exciting new chapter, my hope is that every woman knows this: your story isn't over. Midlife is not a closing chapter, it's a powerful invitation to rediscover yourself, honour your resilience, and bloom from within, at your own pace and on your own terms.
Thank you for being part of my journey. If this message resonates with you, I invite you to share it with a woman who may need the reminder that our greatest growth often begins when we least expect it.
Here’s to your blooming!
With love, Nadia ❤️
